Our Approach

A Barcoding solution is never just a piece of hardware: This is the heart of Barcoding’s Process, People, Technology (PPT) philosophy.

First, we work to understand our clients’ businesses—their workflows, people, cultures, and goals—and then we discuss the types of technology available to fit their needs.

Introduction

Rugged device manufacturers have selected Android as the OS to replace Windows CE/Mobile as Microsoft discontinues support of its mobile operating system in 2020.

While this is a significant technology shift, it is not new to Barcoding. With more than 20 years of mobile computing experience, Barcoding has been helping our customers navigate and benefit from these shifts.

We were there when proprietary OS’s were replaced by DOS, and then again when Windows emerged. Barcoding understands what is ahead of you, and we are uniquely positioned to get you ready for the future, while minimizing operational impact.

Whether your goal is a complete refresh or a systematic approach over time, Barcoding is here to help you achieve your goals, while reducing your risk and capital expenditures.

Consider Modernization

Not sure if application modernization is worth your time? Take a look at this list and check off any statements that apply to you.

  • I need to attract new customers and keep existing ones.
  • I want to support mobile computers.
  • I want to know how and when my mobile devices are being used.
  • I require workflow changes that cannot be made to my legacy applications.
  • I want to enable a new business model that my currentapp will not support.
  • I want to enhance user workflows to improve productivity and lower costs.
  • I want additional productivity from new mobile form factors.
  • I need employee productivity information to better understand my team’s performance.
  • I need to connect additional functionality from other applications.
  • I do not have the money, time, or staff to replace my existing applications.
  • The staff that built my applications are long gone and I do not know everything it does.

If you’ve marked off any of these statements, then it may be worth your time to investigate application modernization.

Hardware Selection

Barcoding represents the who’s who in mobile computing technologies and is proud to include the following manufactures in our partner community—Zebra Technologies, Honeywell, Datalogic, Panasonic, and Samsung—among others. With over 20 years of mobile computing solution experience, we understand the subtle differences between these companies and their individual product offerings. We are here to ensure that you select the right product(s) to meet your needs.

Telnet Modernization

Barcoding is leading the modernization movement. We are certified in both Ivanti’s and StayLinked’s telnet modernization tools and have helped many customers make the transition from WinCE/Mobile to Android. We can also modernize and enhance your telnet user interface to improve employee usability and performance.

Support When You Need It

Custom Application Development
Our in-house mobile application development team has created unique applications for customers in the retail, transportation, manufacturing, and warehouse markets. Should you need additional resources to migrate your mobile applications, Barcoding is here to help.

Refurbished Equipment Purchases
As a 20-year veteran, Barcoding not only understands legacy equipment, but we also source this refurbished equipment on behalf of our customers. All refurbished equipment is thoroughly inspected and reconditioned prior to customer receipt. During periods of transition, the purchase of refurbished equipment can be a wise financial option over the purchase of new.

Equipment Rentals
Barcoding is also able to provide refurbished rental equipment on a monthly basis. In many cases, equipment rental provides the greatest flexibility at the lowest cost.

Time and Material Maintenance Programs
We understand that no two customers or projects are the same. The same can be said for maintenance programs. There are times when the normal annual contract does not make financial sense. In those cases, Barcoding will work with you to develop a program that meets your operational and financial objectives.

Financing
Barcoding offers a financing program (OnePay™) that provides clients with flexible payment options for their technology solutions and services. As a result, Barcoding customers can easily purchase the technology needed to drive process improvements and improve operational efficiencies.
